Chef de cuisine



French restaurant in Washington DC  is currently looking for an experience, passionate Head Chef who would enjoy a medium size, none corporate environment. The candidate will be responsible for all aspect of the kitchen from Prep to expedition to quality/cost control. This person will be in charge for the daily operations of the kitchen,responsible of daily specials and provides professional leadership, ensures that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet restaurant’s specifications and commitment to quality
The position demands consistence on a daily basis, a passion for French cuisine and appreciation for classic French technique,excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest of culinary standards.

Applicant should also work well under pressure, be organized, flexible, self-motivated, willing to work long hours, and have a great sense of humor with Supervisory experience.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years full-service, high quality restaurant experience. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is also required.
