{"id":4744,"date":"2017-04-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-04-06T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/frenchdistrict.com\/californie-nord\/articles\/fillmore-san-francisco-salle-concert-musique-mythique\/"},"modified":"2019-05-09T06:13:29","modified_gmt":"2019-05-09T13:13:29","slug":"fillmore-san-francisco-salle-concert-musique-mythique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frenchdistrict.com\/californie-nord\/articles\/fillmore-san-francisco-salle-concert-musique-mythique\/","title":{"rendered":"Le Fillmore \u00e0 San Francisco"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Alors, on danse\u00a0?<\/h2>\n<p>En 1910, un projet \u00e9tait lanc\u00e9\u00a0: construire un b\u00e2timent de style italien \u00e0 l\u2019angle de <strong>Fillmore et de Geary,<\/strong>\u00a0abritant le <strong>Majestic Hall<\/strong> et la <strong>Majestic Academy of Dancing<\/strong>, qui ouvrirait en 1912.<\/p>\n<p>Cette salle de bal est devenue une piste de patins \u00e0 roulettes dans les ann\u00e9es 40 avant d\u2019accueillir les plus grands noms de la <strong>musique afro-am\u00e9ricaine<\/strong>\u00a0au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 50, sous l\u2019impulsion de Charles Sullivan. <strong>James Brown<\/strong>, Bobby Blue Band, <strong>Tina Turner<\/strong>, etc., tous sont pass\u00e9s sur cette sc\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Dans les ann\u00e9es 50-60, le <strong>Fillmore<\/strong> devenait le foyer de la <strong>culture boh\u00e8mienne am\u00e9ricaine<\/strong>, et au milieu des ann\u00e9es 60, lorsque la <strong>contre-culture<\/strong> faisait rage, c\u2019\u00e9tait <em>the place to be<\/em>, \u00e0 une \u00e9poque o\u00f9 tous les yeux des hippies \u00e9taient tourn\u00e9s vers <i class=\"fa fa-link\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i> <a title=\"Une journ\u00e9e \u00e0 Haight Ashbury\" href=\"http:\/\/frenchdistrict.com\/californie-nord\/articles\/journee-haight-ashbury-quartier-hippie-san-francisco\/\">Haight-Ashbury <\/a>et <strong>musique psych\u00e9d\u00e9lique<\/strong> emplissait les <strong>clubs de San Francisco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est alors que le fameux <strong>Bill Graham<\/strong> est entr\u00e9 en jeu\u00a0; ce <strong>promoteur et producteur de spectacles et concerts<\/strong> a fait d\u00e9coller le Fillmore, y accueillant des artistes comme Santana, Otis Redding, Jimi Hendrix, The Who\u2026 C\u2019\u00e9tait le <strong>grand \u00e2ge du Rock<\/strong>, le grand \u00e2ge du Fillmore, et tous ceux qui ont eu le privil\u00e8ge d\u2019y \u00eatre s\u2019en souviennent encore.<\/p>\n<h2>La 2\u00e8me vie du Fillmore<\/h2>\n<p>Dans les ann\u00e9es 70, le Fillmore d\u00e9m\u00e9nage et devient un club, et s\u2019appelle alors le <strong>Fillmore West<\/strong>. Des stars continuent de s\u2019y produire, les foules sont toujours en d\u00e9lire mais ce n\u2019est plus tout \u00e0 fait pareil. <strong>Bill Graham<\/strong> a toujours voulu que le Fillmore retrouve ses murs originels, et ce ne sera qu\u2019apr\u00e8s sa mort (1991) que ce sera fait.<\/p>\n<p>En 1994, le Fillmore rouvre, avec les Smashing Pumpkins, Ry Cooder &amp; David Lindley et American Music Club. Le temps qu\u2019il a fallu pour que les tickets soient <em>sold out<\/em>\u00a0? Moins d\u2019une minute.
