L\u2019Amateur Night<\/strong>, c’est avant tout l\u2019Apollo Theater<\/strong>, un ancien th\u00e9\u00e2tre<\/strong> \u00e0 la d\u00e9coration traditionnelle et coutumi\u00e8re : un lourd rideau rouge pour s\u00e9parer la sc\u00e8ne du public, des dorures, des si\u00e8ges en velours et des rampes en cuivre. Un endroit mythique et charg\u00e9 d’histoire au c\u0153ur d’Harlem<\/strong>, une r\u00e9f\u00e9rence en mati\u00e8re de jazz depuis plus de 70 ans. Mickael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Lauryn Hill et tellement d’autres pointures de la chanson ont fait leur premi\u00e8res vocalises sur la sc\u00e8ne de l\u2019Apollo Theater, lors d\u2019une Amateur Night. D’ailleurs, la plupart de leurs noms sont immortalis\u00e9s dans le sol, \u00e0 l\u2019entr\u00e9e du th\u00e9\u00e2tre.<\/p>\n\r\n\t

Les moelleux fauteuils sont tous pris d\u2019assaut par les supporteurs pr\u00e9sents au grand complet pour encourager leur prot\u00e9g\u00e9. Le com\u00e9dien Capone, connu comme le Gangster of Comedy, anime la soir\u00e9e de fa\u00e7on \u00e9nergique, et maintient l’audience \u00e9veill\u00e9e tout au long du spectacle avec ses blagues d\u00e9sopilantes et ses taquineries.<\/p>\n

Le concours se d\u00e9roule en deux parties. La premi\u00e8re partie de l’Amateur Night est r\u00e9serv\u00e9e aux \u00ab \u00e9toiles de demain<\/em> \u00bb avec des jeunes artistes de 5 \u00e0 15 ans. La seconde se consacre aux candidats de plus de 15 ans. Si plusieurs cat\u00e9gories sont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es, le chant et la danse restent toutefois les plus courantes. Apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9monstration du talent potentiel de chacun, c\u2019est au public de voter en criant le plus fort possible pour son candidat favori. La premi\u00e8re place revient \u00e0 celui qui a atteint le plus grand nombre de d\u00e9cibels.<\/p>\n
