Car c\u2019est un cimeti\u00e8re qui accueille les \u00e9paves de douzaines de <strong>bateaux<\/strong> colossaux, \u00e9chou\u00e9s l\u00e0 depuis des ann\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<h2>Un cimeti\u00e8re n\u00e9 par amour<\/h2>\n<p>John J. Watt, l\u2019ancien propri\u00e9taire de la Witte Marine Equipment Company \u2013 d\u00e9sormais <strong>Donjon Marine Equipment<\/strong> \u2013 refusait de voir ses pr\u00e9cieux bateaux d\u00e9mont\u00e9s et d\u00e9truits, et a accueilli jusqu\u2019\u00e0 400 \u00e2mes en perdition dans ses eaux protectrices. La plupart des bateaux circulant entre New York et le New Jersey finissent d\u2019ailleurs dans ce cimeti\u00e8re, pour y couler (des jours heureux).<\/p>\n<h2>Comment y aller ?<\/h2>\n<p>Pour visiter ce cimeti\u00e8re nautique hors du commun, rendez-vous sur <strong>Staten Island<\/strong>. Grimpez dans le bus X22, X19 ou S74 et allez jusqu\u2019\u00e0 <strong>Rossville<\/strong>, petit quartier de l\u2019\u00eele. Au bout d&#8217;une heure de trajet environ, descendez \u00e0 l\u2019angle d&#8217;Arthur Kill Road et Rossville Avenue.Continuez \u00e0 marcher sur Arthur Kill Rd, et l\u00e0 commence l\u2019aventure : craquements, odeurs de poissons et bois d\u00e9color\u00e9s par le sel et le soleil&#8230; le cimeti\u00e8re n&#8217;est s\u00fbrement pas une balade romantique, mais il est un terrain de pr\u00e9dilection pour les audacieux et les photographes, avec ces dizaines de carcasses rouill\u00e9es, t\u00e9moins agonisants de leur pass\u00e9 de g\u00e9ant des mers.<\/p>\n<p>Question \u00e9quipement, l\u2019endroit n\u2019est pas vraiment recommand\u00e9 aux coquettes et aux touristes en nu-pieds car on s\u2019enfonce dans la boue, voire de la vase jusqu\u2019aux cuisses, pour les plus t\u00e9m\u00e9raires.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est une visite inhabituelle, qui vaut le d\u00e9tour et qu&#8217;on fasse fi du panneau &#8220;<em>NO TRESPASSING&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0\u00e0
