Creus\u00e9 lentement au fil du temps par le passage du <strong>fleuve Colorado<\/strong>, le Canyon est profond de 1300 m\u00e8tres, parcourt 446 km et mesure 29 km de large\u2026 En outre, il cacherait environ 1000 grottes, trois fois plus que celles actuellement connues. Plus petit et moins haut que son voisin le Grand Canyon, il n\u2019en est pas moins tr\u00e8s touristique et extr\u00eamement photog\u00e9nique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses crevasses et des <strong>failles rocheuses<\/strong> tr\u00e8s \u00e9troites creus\u00e9es par l\u2019\u00e9rosion. En fait le canyon est constitu\u00e9 de 2 parties distinctes : le <strong>Upper Canyon<\/strong> (le plus visit\u00e9) et le <strong>Lower Canyon<\/strong> (plus difficile d\u2019acc\u00e8s).
