Il est entour\u00e9 de montagnes aux pics enneig\u00e9s, et plusieurs <strong>mammif\u00e8res marins<\/strong> se prom\u00e8nent entre les <strong>icebergs<\/strong> qui flottent dans la <strong>baie Yakutat<\/strong>. D\u00e9couverte par hasard en 1906 par John Huddlestone (un nom pr\u00e9destin\u00e9 ?) pr\u00e8s de sa ferme, la mine a \u00e9t\u00e9 rachet\u00e9e par l\u2019Etat d\u2019Arkansas en 1972 et attire 100 000 chercheurs de diamants (ou curieux) par an.<\/p>\n<h3>Ce qu\u2019il y a de merveilleux<\/h3>\n<p>Plusieurs gros diamants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9s dans cette mine, notamment une pierre de 6.19 carats.
