Georges Jouve orange cylinder vase:
This is a genuine 1950s Georges Jouve orange & black signed small cylinder. Georges Jouve (French sculptor and furniture designer, 1910-1964) was one of the most famous mid-century ceramists. Rarely found in the United States this cylinder is signed at the bottom and bears Jouve’s “alpha” mark.
Enameled orange cylinder with a black/dark green interior.
Great condition given its age (very little wear consistent with age and use).
The gloss is perfect and the color has kept its integrity and brightness.
Some original marks/fabrication marks at the bottom.
