On the occasion of the 4th Anniversary of Kerlenn New York, visit the Hungarian House in Manhattan to enjoy traditional Breton music at the Fest Noz Vraz – October 26th, 2013.
Bagad New York is a traditional Breton group based in New York that perform traditional Breton music on Bombard, Biniou Braz (Highland Bagpipe), and percussion.
Breton music is soulful; it inspires, makes you laugh, cry and brings out emotions in you.
Fest Noz Vraz is an annual music festival organized by Kerlenn New York, which is a non-profit organization that celebrates and promotes Breton music. As a part of the 4th year celebration of the Fest Noz Vraz, the evening will feature informal dance instruction, and proceed with sets of dancing music from artists from Greater New York State, Quebec, and direct from Brittany!
The lineup for this year includes a wide range of artists – Martin / Moign from Brittany France, Montage from Buffalo NY,Bagad New York, Pixton / Mitchell duet from Boston MA, Bartholomew / MacNintch from New York’s Hudson Valley, Helias / Gérard from Montreal QC, Karpowicz / Le Goff from Southern Connecticut, and a couple of surprise appearances along the way!
