The Alliance Française of Greenwich (CT) in partnership with Purchase College (NY) presents the 2013 Focus on French Cinema Festival from March 8 to 10.

The festival takes place every year at the Performing Arts Center of Purchase College in New York which specializes in film and media.

The selection of movies for the year 2013 consists of 10 to 12 recent French movies with subtitles for world audience. Rediscover French culture or introduce yourself to French cinema at this festival.

A gala called “Red Carpet” will be held on the Friday evening of March 8th, organized by the Master Chefs and Culinary Academy of France after the screening of the opening film. A panel of actors and directors, moderated and chosen by professionals of the film festival will come together on Saturday, March 9th.

Over the weekend of this festival, all the restaurants along the streets will serve their French specialties and wines. The official line up of the films can be found on the official website FocusonFrenchCinema.org.
